NHHI Futsal

NHHI Futsal is the school’s best futsal team and currently plays in the 1st division in Hordaland. We are the reigning Norwegian champions in student futsal and have also represented Norway in the Student European Championship in futsal a total of 7 times, most recently in Poland in the summer of 2022. We are always looking for new ballplayers who want to contribute to new adventures both on – and especially off – the court!

We train 1-2 times a week in Lehmkuhl, where the sessions entirely consist of square games, playing, and an undeniably great atmosphere (maybe we squeeze in a tiny passing exercise the week before a tournament). Playing futsal indoors is perfect when the weather gods aren’t on our side in the rainy city. We play our league matches over 1-3 weekends per semester during the gloomiest winter months. However, the highlight of the year is our annual participation in the student championship in futsal, where we’re no strangers to going all the way. A successful student championship often results in a ticket to the European Championship abroad, an experience like no other.

Still, we are primarily a social bunch, and among other things, we can tempt with a Christmas party at a water park (yes, you read that right!), sweaty parties in Lehmkuhl, fraternizations, banquets, and lots of other social treats that make NHHI Futsal truly unique.
