NHHI American Football
NHHI American Football was established in 2011 and currently consists of 43 tough individuals from all academic years, with different level of experience – from none to GFL champions. We train twice a week during the season, but we take a break during the exam period. Throughout the semester, we compete against other student teams such as the BI Lions, BI Bizons, NTNUI, as well as the 1st division Nidaros Domers. NHHI AF participates in the student championship whenever American football is organized, and we’ve also won the Student Games in rugby (2018).
In 2023, we celebrated a fantastic season with 3 games and 3 wins, achieving a cumulative score of 138-6. In 2024 we´ve only had 1 match so far against BI Bizons, which was won 48-6. We aim to build on the team’s sporting success, which is why we conduct purely athletic tryouts. American football is a highly specialized sport, and we welcome a diverse range of individuals to join us, regardless of size. You are warmly invited to showcase your skills!
Beyond the athletic aspect, we’re a tight-knit and sociable group that enjoys bonding events, pre-parties, cabin trips, and international excursions.
